Strangely, all I ever hear on site these days are the diggers humming the Imperial March from Star Wars. Not sure what that's all about.
In my former life as a lowly digger, I would probably have gone for "Take this job and shove it", or the the Rectory Farm favourite "Please release me".

How can you forget the B52s.. singing about neat excavations (must have been in York
) in the classic
Mesapotamia... must be one of the few songs in the world to actually get that word to rhyme![:I]

Has anyone mentioned "Another one bites the dust" yet? Or what about "We gotta get outta this place"? Of course, apart from the Thorogood numbers I mentioned earlier, it seems to me that "Whisky River" and "If you don't start drinking I'm leaving" might be more appropriate for me.

No-one has yet mentioned 'Digging in the Dirt' by Peter Gabriel. Circa 1994 I think.

There's nowt better when you're on site, than to have a radio by your feature with a really good test match coming out of it. Preferably with England winning it of course.
I've done a few evaluations where The Smiths' "...I was bored before I even began..." line would sum up quite nicely. This would also apply to more than a few meetings with developers!
