Hello - am I too late for a snifter?
Funny old day today, raining this morning so spent to much time buying books of the internet ...awful thing when you have time to browse the second hand "department" at places like Abe Books...they should be licensed!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

Abe Books, the tool of the devil! I've lost much money to their wiles!
It's almost noon here which means it's over the yardarm somewhere... not too early for a pint with lunch, is it?

Not sure how I have managed it, but have ordered Vegetius again, having bought a copy of De Rei Militaris in July!! I like Vegetius, but not that much LOL!! Most odd, but hopefully I can head it off before it is dispatched. Must have been something lurking on the order form I hadn't noticed.
Making do with a cup of tea and heading off for an early night I think. This commuting is a PIA!

You want them to sell alcohol as well as books?! Do you have some sort of deathwish??? Blimey, I was in trouble when my local Waterstones opened a
tea shop in the basement. Didn't see daylight for weeks...

We had a 3am start for London on Sunday, there and back again in the day along with a show. It made camping in gale-force winds in Scotland seem like a holiday, as the M1 was closed for a bit due to an accident (no, really? An accident on the M1? How surprising...).
I'm about to start drinking during the day as I'm too tired to drink at night. Rum and Coke, I think... with a wedge of lime!!!

Too busy now to drink during the day, but traffic has eased now that the Annual Gathering of Shed Draggers has come to a close. How can they justify letting traffic which moves at 30MPH loose on the roads on a Monday at 0700?? And traction engines...I mean...WHAT is that about.
Only takes 40 minutes now from door to door so can get in early and park and annoy all the others even earlier...}
Cup of tea and bed I think...

I'm putting the kettle on for a cuppa if anyone is about...(and yes, I can get my head through the spout before anyone has any wise cracks!)
...where did that weekend go?
