Right-o folks... heres the deal... If any one of us gets on this bleeding show they have only ONE mission.... raise money for a new glossy powerful Digger.. one that can be the true archaeologists union... will only cost a few thousand... (oh... and if you could wear a BAJR hat
)
One of us must get there....
not that we are sad media whores, willing to sell our dearly held principals for a bag of baubles and a chance to schmooze with Mr Theakston... }
[:p] (well, I am anyway !)
Another day another WSI?

At the risk of being a party pooper, what has this got to do with archaeology? Would having an archaeologist on the show be seen as endorsing an Indiana Jones treasure and goody hunting philosophy?
We owe the dead nothing but the truth.

Aha Mr Hosty..... you still have that opportunity yourself...to go and dig up the said baubles....and the allocate a portion of them towards the digger....
But, hey ho....I guess we can all crack the clues and go and dig them up....I think we all may have some experience of digging
and
Then donate a portion to the Digger !!!!!!!!!!:face-huh:
Sigh ...Another Day ...Another Archaeological Site

Quote:quote: "As the clues are revealed, viewers at home will also be able to join in and get their spades out as they try and dig up the booty." This will give viewers the chance to bag it, before the adventurers return.
Hmm, and I wonder just quite how many hastily (and most likely nocturnally) dug holes will be appearing at various spots in the British countryside while its running as various viewers check out their hunches. Whether or not the producers bury these "treasures" in ancient monuments, the potential for damage to archaeological sites and private property is obvious. Sounds like a pretty irresponsible idea to me. Yhat's quite apart from te dodgy ideology behind the programme.
