I respect anybody who is prepared to fight elections and be a councillor.
Jim Lewthwaite is a British National Party councillor - Do you really mean to say that you
respect him?

Fair enough Troll. Sorry to Doctor Peter and all if my question was a bit aggressive. I was just a bit shocked by the implication of Dr peter's statement. I would have thought that when discussing a BNP councillor who scarily won over 2000 votes when standing for parliament, 'respect' would be the last emotion on your mind (regardless of whether you used to be mates or not)...

In fact he is Britith National Party...
I would appreciate the Na-- being edited out... as it could be seen as libel...
That said... there is nothing wrong with pointing out that an 'extreme' right wing (ex) MP is still that... a right winger... and in my opinion a misguided person whose ideals and beliefs are abhorent to me and many others - though someone elected him!
just keeping it cool.... ie agree with the sentiments.. but best lose the N word

Done - but obviously an awful lot of people consider the BNP to be (neo-) nazis, and I doubt any court could possibly find it libellous to describe them as such. There would be an awful long queue for the courtroom. Apart from his link with the BNP, googling this individuals name will reveal his history of publishing what certainly appears to be neo-Nazi literature and associated material. All this stuff is in the public domain... e.g.
