News from Archaeology Scotland
A Curriculum for Excellence, the new Scottish Curriculum is all about interdisciplinary learning, active learning and and innovative approaches to teaching.
Archaeology is well placed to deliver on all of these things while also promoting an appreciation of Scotland?s heritage and development as a nation.
This year I'm hoping to get more schools using archaeology in their learning by promoting Scottish Archaeology Month (SAM) to schools with the help of Learning Teaching Scotland (LTS)
We will post updates here on Facebook, but to find out more about our education work, visit our schools resources page:

Here you'll find details of :
Arc Scot school workshops with notes on curriculum linked outcomes and experiences.
Downloadable guides on surveying activities to help get children using maths and other skills while learning about the past.
Details of our artefact investigation kit loans and info packs (2 more currently in development)
Archaeology and education case studies and an Archaeology and Curriculum for Excellence information sheet.
Best wishes, Meg
