English Heritage is sharpening its tools for the protection of England#8217;s heritage at risk. It is creating the first all-encompassing register of the country#8217;s neglected or decaying historic treasures and introducing new ways to save them. Its Heritage At Risk project, to be launched on Tuesday 8 July 2008, will make England the only country in Europe to have a comprehensive knowledge of the state of its protected heritage and the analysis to save this precious and finite resource for the future.

Excellent stuff... an integrated approach to all of the historic environment is to be applauded, just in time for HPR. Hopefully the fate of rural earthworks and plough damage to buried sites can now also be highlighted in addition to crumbling buildigs. By the way the posted link has an extra full stop which diverts you to the EH front page from which navigation is horrible.
