Sadly if you contact the local authories they still have plenty of information on "paupers' graves" although they aren't called that these days. They aren't a thing of the past!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

.....Not all locl authorities.... At the Corporation of London record office, although you will find references to such graves, the information is considered classified and is not available for public consultation....
