The Society for Church Archaeology invites applicants for its annual research grant. The amount should not exceed ?1,000 and application is open to members of the Society proposing a Project involving fieldwork and/or research in any area of church archaeology, or related topics.
The grant will cover research expenses, travel related to research, fieldwork or the sundries of fieldwork. The Society is pleased to accept applications for pilot Project funding to help attract larger grants, or for a discrete Project (with its own aims, objectives and outputs) within the framework of a larger Project. We welcome applications from academics, professionals, amateurs and particularly from early career scholars and postgraduate students (although we will not cover the costs of a course of study). The research should be original and we require the successful applicant to submit a short note to our journal, Church Archaeology, within six months of completion of the Project.
Please use the application form provided on our website and email that document to Dr Kristj?n Ahronson, k.ahronson@bangor.ac.uk by November 15th;
paper applications cannot unfortunately be considered, unless by prior arrangement.
Each referee should email his or her report to the same address.
