Could the manual include 'handy tips from the workface' like, eg. you could save yourself a lot of money on C14 if you just
believe Dinosaur when he/she/it says its a Neolithic pit?

Unit is getting over-excited again. Must be the pain at watching public sector workers march about their pensions. Paperwork is a serious issue when you step up a gear. Ask any Project Officer or Manager who has to cost up projects - understanding VAT, taxes, staff costs and hidden costs, soft costing and hard accounting. Cash in hand - no questions asked is something that belongs in a different age.

Ah but what exactly is a 'neolithic pit?'
The term 'neolithic' is not equivalent to a date or even a time period, it is a set of parameters for defining a type of prehistoric lifestyle.
So are your pits making pottery, domestication animals, growing crops and are more sedentary than your mesolithic pits (although that is still under debate)? :face-stir:
