But that is just another example of planners planning. Deregulation must mean that the landowner can do more things without regulation? Where this is all a good old joke is that this bill will never be about deregulation, this is all about and should be called re-regulation. Deregulation is to get rid of listing buildings and all those public servants that live on it. It's not going to happen is it.

yhar, where is the strat. slide a brick out here replace with stone repoint and it still remains an early jews house, utter rubbish and as for all that finding bricks to match the exisiting and what colour the door should be, its all a bit like somebody coming up and saying that the venus di milo should be painted to look realsitic like something out of a catholic church. and by that what I mean is that all these regulations represent is one group of people telling a landowner what to do and mostly because that group do not own it so why should the owner do what they want to do with it-

not really. Does any archaeologist make any money out of listed buildings? and I mean archaeologist? and also lets add shedualled monuments as well. There is nothing more misrable than justifying an intervention because it is next to a shedualled or listed building. Add to our knowledge rubbish.

That's where the lateral thinking comes in! Strat in its physical sense may not be there (except in those layers affected by work to put in new foundations!) but buildings can still be examined in the "strat as temporal concept" way. If Wall A is pierced by a 14thc inserted window, it must pre-date the window, etc. Still, if you don't like dealing with buildings it leaves more work for the rest of us!

no its a reconstructed 14th century window that was inserted into some reagranged 12th century stones when they created a north and south aisle in the 19th century after Austria came out with a million pound fund which nobody expected, and thats just what we know about the 19th century. Its all bullocks and unproveable rubbish, the long and short of it is just rustification and it could have happened at any time. Stop playing along or I will take the pish out of our common ancestory
