What would you want to make your Xmas happy... A heated site hut? a working kettle? perhaps even a modicum of respect?
so what is it?

Enough knowledge and experience to get a raise. Until that time, Xmas is cancelled due to lack of funds. Oh, and I hate Xmas...

Fair enough Kevin, if that sort of thing turned up in stockings even I would embrace the Christmas spirit. Even if that sounds totally wrong on rereading...

Wow! If one of those "lotsa useless dots" machines turned up in my stocking I'd be thrilled! The resale value would keep me in beer for many a moon...
Personally I'd settle for a decent permanent job.

I thinking Barking old pal if you had one of those 'lotsa useless dots' machines as your personal property, you might find lots of organisations eager to use your expertise.....writes the man who once lost out on a job opportunity to an Icelandic archaeological surveyor who supplied his own personal laser scanner....

I would like Santa to bring a response from Historic Scotland which is a little more than "We are in the process of investigating the rock art. When we have a final report I shall let you know"
(I hope their final report shows as much as my 3d model).
