going national would be interesting.
certainly, i think more audience research of what people actually want rather than what archaeologists think people want is very badly needed.
do people want records? or more thematic content? what do they visit an online her for?
it is surprising that despite the money put in by the hlf amongst others, the answer to these questions remain elusive.
it would be useful to hear of any audience research accompanying these sites, particular with audiences who don't know/make use of her services already. has anyone published anything?
