On the subject of odd trowels....years and years ago a mate of mine came back from working in Germany with a load of what he called tulip planters, they were kind of like a cross between a plaster's leaf, and a trowel, with a wooden handle. The blade was slightly curved, and narrow, on about a 3" straight stem. We all thought they were great, and far better than a leaf for fine work. I think they were from Holland and were for making a hole in a pot to plant bulbs in. Anyone remember them/know what their official name is, and whether you can still get them? It was a while ago.....
