Yes yes!! I think it is. I just did a Google search for Jaeterhand - it came up with an old post of yours from the WHS Trowels thread and I recognise the word 'kratzer'. Shame if they have stopped making it.
Sounds like the tool we were using in Duisburg back in '86 - positively dangerous right angled thing with a nasty serrated edge. But great for slicing through those black Rhineland silts, especially in section. Have a feeling I would get arrested for carrying one of those around today though!
