Class war? Or a reflection of attitudes towards jobs which are considered to be done for the love, not the money (and therefore worth less in terms of financial input to the economy and not worthy of public funding)?

In times of stress, everyone protects their offspring. Are you seriously suggesting that the middle classes are conspiring to keep all the poorly paid jobs for themselves and their children? If so then you should rejoice, for in a generation or two the middle classes will be no more.[:o)]
