I call this careing: Tomorrow I will be into the third day on what should really have been a one day job. This is a site that I wrote the speck for back in 2006 but which has been sold on?. Way back then in 2006 (first site visit was in 2005 (no charge)) they did not have to take about half a metre-ish depth across the site for insulation, On top of that the mob who are doing the groundwork and who are on a price that was half what the competition put up for, have decided that there will be 900mm of path around the site with gravel make up down to the same depth as the insulation. Anyway, about 400mm in from the outer edge of this path and extending into baulk and not part of the planning application ?WE? have hit something church like...I have been offered cash but I am not vat registered but it was worth a try and it was nobly done, seeing as the poor sod has bought the land, approx 100, grand but has not been able to sell a previous property so presumably is stuck on a bridge of some sort. So far I am mostly working in plan but tomorrow I might get into some sections south of this feature. Luckily the poor bloke would like to retire to this plot so will not be selling on so who cares that there is an archaeological condition on it. But that?s not why I got into archaeology but why this evening I have been mostly drinking red wine
