Being a modern records officer at a county archive. Still, it's quite amusing reading the correspondence from the 1970s when people didn't realise that their internal memos would one day be available to public view....... I can imagine some people on here who might say this one (it's from an officer, rather than a member of the public);
"It is a pity, once again, that the people concerned did not address their correspondence to me?. But, then, they wouldn?t have been able to send a copy to their clients demonstrating that they were pursuing the application at the highest level and with all vigour!"
