I used to be anonymous, but then I decided not to be. It does mean that I self-moderate, which also means that I am less likely to spend hours on BAJR ranting at great length and more time working! Occasionally I wind up Unitof1 by simply existing in this way, but I can live with that.
I do value posts by 1man on the consultants' perspective, and from curatorial and EH colleagues on other matters. If such people only feel that they can comment anonymously (for the very good reasons outlined by 1man) then I am happy that they should remain anonymous.
