It has always seemed more sensible, to me at least, for the Northern Isles to be more closely associated economically and socially with Norway rather than the UK. I would also be willing to drift 'a sphere of influence' line southwards and perhaps include Glasgow and all of the east of Scotland north of the firth of Forth. Not so sure about Edinburgh...
As for claiming asylum...Norway has a general election coming up in the next month and there is an outside possibility that the most right wing party in modern Norwegian history could be left holding the balance of power. So any chance of you claiming asylum AD are totally out of the question....unless you are white.......and not from any country that used to be part of the Soviet Union.....and believe that Margaret Thatcher is the 'queen across the water'....and believe that any form of culture requiring a higher intelligence level than 'The X Factor' is a complete and utter waste of time and money....oh and you have to like line dancing...
Just a small indication of the yearning abyss facing Norwegian voters in the coming weeks...:face-huh:
With peace and consolation hath dismist, And calm of mind all passion spent...
