This is the root of the problem, the ifa is disengaged with the people who not only pay their wages but also the people who they are supposed to be supporting (one and the same i know). the dual mandate that the ifa have set for themselves cannot in my opinion be carried out, you are either a proffesional body providing standards for companies to work to or you are a union, at the moment they are neither.
