The trouble is, Alfie, that any organisation will contain gits; that is why there is a disciplinary procedure.
If there were no gits, there wouldn't need to be standards or disciplinary procedures to enforce them - everyone would do a good job as a matter of course.
The whole point of joining the IFA is to voluntarily make yourself subject to the published standards and to disciplinary action if you transgress. If you don't join, you have not publicly signed up to any standards, and can practice as poorly as you like with impunity.
