Week before xmas I broke my second trowel in as many months. Both have gone in exactly the same place-laterally below the point of forge. On inspection-when seen in section, the "metal" is not dissimilar to the appearence of a broken magnet.Hardly surprising then that this takeover has resulted in a cheap attempt at raising profit margins through the use of substandard materials but sold at the same old price. My "real" and professionally built WHS trowel lasted me 11 years and cost me a tenner. I have just gone through two of these new "Datsun" trowels in as many months. Does the new owner of an old and extremely well-respected brand expect me to continue to pay ?10-15 a month replacing this crap product ad infinitum? I`m back to work on the 4th and yes-I will have to put yet more money in this firms pocket.Getting very bored and feeling ripped off.Again, and again and again. Where`s this "archaeology trowel then?
