Ah Troll... sadly not insubstantial but actual changes.
here are 3
1) April 2007 - new pay and conditions enforced on ALL RAOs
2) April 2007 (and run up on BAJR from May 15th 2006) All companies will be required to show wheher they provide holidays, weekly hour time, pension and sickness.)
3) new IFA Workplace Learning Bursary for Archaeological Skills - paid full rate!
etc etc
Digger Forum, Building regulations and standards, new guidance contracting units, proactive Tim Howard running about the country talking with people...looking to creating a 'movable pension schme' for diggers to take with them from site to site, a career grading system (by April 2007) - I could go on....... and these are only the things that ARE happening.. not might, not would be nice... but ARE.
Anyway, back to Archpeople, as I have said many times, its up to the individual, I have talked with Natalie, and had business contact with her too..... do what you wish to do... I think it would be good to see her company succeed... but I do notice you are not actually able to answer the simple question of how they intend to change the pay and conditions -
Give them the benefit of the doubt - yes!... but don't wade in and defend without knowing what you are actually defending - I am sure they are just as capable.
Another day another WSI?
