Oi ang about! Wheres mine??? Not only that, the issue of anybody chargin about with a loaded trowel without training is a bit of an issue ya know! I do think that a grown-up should approach Tony.A goodly friend and colleague suggested that we invite him to the conference too. What do you think? I reckon that we seem to have come a long way and have identified a creaking profession in need of modernisation. The timing could`nt be better as we see an awful lot of development coupled to an awful competative tendering environment. That amounts to a large bite of our heritage taken by small units on behalf of large developers. If a letter is to be written, I don`t feel comfortable penning it myself-surely the whole point of asking Tony for his help is to elevate the heritage agenda to a higher public profile. This would by default require an industry-wide consultation before any "agenda" could be agreed upon. Theres no point in painting a localised picture, archaeology is the front line in lots of lines and we all have issues
