I have now had an opportunity to talk with the production company, who have made it clear that they are taking their responsibilities seriously and will of course be ensuring that archaeological sites and monuments (not just Scheduled areas) will be clearly exempted from any âsearchâ area.
It can be too easy to jump to conclusions and they do understand the worry, but are keeping in contact to ensure that it is not an issue. I hope this allays any further worries about this real opportunity to have fun, excite people about amazing heritage sites AND perhaps even raise the profile of archaeology. Yes I know that most archaeology now is dull watching briefs, but sometimes, we just have to remember that it can be fun too â¦.For one lucky archaeologist it may be a chance to show just what the greatest tool we possess isâ¦. The Brain.
I am happy with what they have said⦠I hope you will be too.
Another day another WSI?
