Actually, I think you are wrong. The topic of the need for archaeology to reach out to the public has repeatedly been raised on this Forum.
Rubbish, its not just down to archaeological outreach, if the public had a genuine interest then they would seek out the information.
Quote:quote:Also, bear in mind, that the so called 'irresponsible' behaviour you are so keen to promote is in fact only YOUR opinion. You have absolutely no right or mandate to dictate what is responsible behaviourNot just mine, but all who support the Code of Practice launched 2nd May (including some detectorists I believe). Unless you have now changed your tune on the latter, it is your opinion which differs from theirs.
"Just because we do not 'care' in the way you do does not make us wrong, just different". yes, we've been through the "differently responsible" discussion in the "Understanding Detecting" section of the Forum.
Paul, your opinions are as biggoted as the most vile racist at times.
My "opinions" about what? I doubt whether you know my opinions on anything very much apart from on the need to conserve the archaeological heritage and debate the artefact hunting issue, but there is far more to my opinions than that.
