I agree with you completely vulpes, and I am well aware of how and why things should change. My comments were aimed at those who think that the answer to the problem was to simply get rid of the unit.
I am talking about loyalty to our fellow worker. When you work with a talented group of people who achieve high standards, isnât that something worth fighting for?
My point is rather than demanding instantaneous change and if it is not forthcoming writing the whole unit off, would it not be better to work as a team, within the unit and the profession as a whole? One of the reasons I became an archaeologist was the community spirit but more and more I hear complaints about the job rather than anything positive. Is it just that people do not discuss the good things on this forum?
