I don't know why RSK's job advert should be considered unusual, 'brave' or particularly praiseworthy. Everything that is in that job advert is absolutely standard for most of the larger consultancy firms, including the one I work for.
The job advert could almost be quoting word-for word a description of the job I had when I first joined my present organisation 11 years ago, the main difference being that that one was for motorway construction rather than pipeline work. It is also clear that the person employed will be supporting established staff in carrying out the job.
The post does represent good practice, but is not in any way unusual.
