Rightyho-not sure how useful this will be but it`s a lead nonetheless;
a postgrad lady by the name of A.Brundle of the University of York recently presented a paper entitled "unimportance of Pictish Birsay-or maybe not?" during presentations of post-grad work held at the Dept of Arch Sciences (University of Bradford). The paper mentioned and illustrated two early bells-I hope this helps:face-huh:
