Welcome sire. To be honest, most archaeologists are not finds specialists-simply specialists in providing finds with context amongst and through phases, sequences and events.Tiz the phases etc that provide narrative and the finds really corroborate our assumptions by providing sentences.I think what I am trying to say is that, I`m not surprised that many archaeologists look blank-faced at your questions! Here is yet another example of where different bodies in the same game can make important contributions to an overall objective!Have you tried....
Finds liaiason? Officers? PAS Officers? You could try targetting universities with a medieval/ecclesiastical specialism or even the Church itself? Hows about approaching universities where archaeometallurgy is on the menu? Would`nt surpise me if there wasnt a number of unpublished dissertations lounging hidden in university store-rooms that could answer your questions! Hope this helps.....
..knowledge without action is insanity and action without knowledge is vanity..(imam ghazali,ayyuhal-walad)
