This is very encouraging and I am very tempted to follow your lead, Soils. This is very proactive of you and I admire that. You're right, of course, talking to people directly is much more sensible. I didn't know that self employed people were entitled to anything, which they appear to be; the latter is what I was told by the Inland Revenue, although they did add that they weren't specialists on the subject and that I should check. It might possibly help the petition cause (see forum thread, http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Archaeology/), too, if there are significant numbers of us on 'Working Tax Credit'?
