They are like rabid dogs David, if there is no one else to attack then they turn on their own...
I have found it refreshing to see that several of the other members have made a stance, in that although they in no way compromise their archaeological beliefs and still wish to have their legitimate concerns in respect of metal detecting addressed, they are not anti the hobby, wuite the opposite. This is what earns respect and creates an atmosphere ideal for dialogue.
They also see the reality of the consequesnces of trying to ban the hobby..
Amongst all the other 'stuff' there is also a lot of positivity.
