I think this is a very exciting project and is certainly catching the interest of many on the UKDN.
I only wish I was able to attend, it sounds like the Woodstock of metal detecting...
I think Davids efforts in this cannot be understated, it is a hugely positive step forward.
Easydigger raises a good point in respect of pottery etc being recorded, it seems that the perception in the main towards metal detectorists is that their only interest is in the 'bling', not so... habitually when detecting, one is also conducting and eyes only scan over the surface as well.
