It may be a real shame for this guy's creditors but looking at the letters etc. associated with this it's no loss for archaeology. To have 7 reputable archaeologists come forward and repudiate your findings is hardly serving archaeology or the community. I'm sure the people of Urswick would rather have a realistic heritage than an exciting fiction.
