The crisis isn't over yet. The next stage of the recession will be a severe curtailing of non-essential government services, like county archaeologists. That will mean fewer archaeological planning conditions and more competition for the remaining slices of pie, whatever party is elected.:0
That doesn't mean that wages should be dropped or frozen though!
