Well actually there have been two BAJR conferences, in 2006 and 2007. They were free (maybe that was the mistake) in a lovely venue in York, with free food, and did most people bother their arses to turn up, did they hell!!! Even most of the archaeologists in York didn't bother, so what does that say.
