UnitOf1 there are so few diggers around these days who do not have degrees, it's pretty much a pre-requisite for the job, even if arguably they are not an accurate reflection of one's abilities as an archaeologist.
Those who don't have degrees will have been around for a while, and are most likely supervisors or project supervisors and thus on a different pay grade anyway.
