Looked it up on Reuters.
Its looking bad for the people who live within 20km of the site.......and anyone who eats or drinks produce from the area.
Or anyone who swims in the sea anythereabouts!
The reactor is still unfixed and now unreachable due to the amount of radioactive sea water flooding the site, but several nations are sending experts and equipment to try and help.
But still dont see how this could effect archaeological excavations in anywhere but Japan.........Gnome was this what your driving at? Or the larger issue of contaminated land?
