If the interview on Radio 4 is anything to go by that his not his style of delivery AT ALL.
Starting the debate argument is his way of trying to extricate himself. He should be allowed to extricate himself without any further humiliation and then perhaps , slowly but firmly, taken out of any lime light or position of authority.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!
