The story says that the SPECIALIST archaeology business was placed into administration after the threat of a winding-up petition related to historic VAT debts.
There is no mention of VAT debts in any of their last few years charity commission accounts. The accounts show deficits over the last few years but no mention of VAT that I can see. Does anybody know if this is a new law charging VAT on charity business? There would be a lot of worried ex council units -sorry trusts out there if true.
