I take it all back. It is a pity that they used the words archaeology and field. I bet they had wished they had left them out and started out as
"3. The objects for which the Institute are established are to advance the practice of the Historic environment.
This would have saved the confusing use of a lot of commas within commas and left out the confusion that "conservation of the archaeological heritage" had anything to do with museums.
