Quote:The IfA plays a very active role in trying to ensure the protection of archaeological services, lobbying all UK governments to maintain the requirement for these services in their current and future
legislation and policy.
my view is that it is eglish huritage who are the stautory "advisors" to the government who should be involved in the protection of archaeology. Whats going on here is nothing to do with archaeology or any standards for doing archaeology. My view is that the ifa is supposed to set/maintain standards of individuals called archaeologists not the rgeulation of TCPA. This campaiiane is pure civil service jobs worth and is totally about stealth tax using the backs of archaeology.
