Actually probably more related to varying standards of data dissemination, he used stuff easily accessible on the internet (and from his own research/PhD) but without going to even online-published site reports - e.g. Nosterfield, which is only online, would have got North Yorkshire a almost-mega spot on its own, just add in Marton-le-Moor, which is journal-published (if only a summary) and you've got a full mega-spot without even getting into all the other nearby sites. Just goes to show how dangerous it can be taking 'surveys' at face value :face-thinks:
