I can see why you'd need that kind of salary to afford the evening pint in Norway :face-stir:, but how else does the standard of living compare to the UK?

Beer in Norwegian supermarkets is reasonably priced, unless you insist on drinking imported Eurokeg......bus fares in Oslo and Bergen are cheaper than London......rent is about on par with the UK......nice bread about ?2 a loaf, cheap bread about 75 pence.....vegetables about the same price as the UK........tickets for Leonard Cohen concert about ?60......petrol about same price as UK...fags about ?8 a packet.....tax is 36% but that is inclusive including the equivalent of the UK National Insurance and Council Tax....so perhaps slightly more 'take-home' than the UK.
