Have been told by another person who had text taken the following info
Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 updated in December 2006.
It is the law in the UK for commercial sites:
The name, geographic address and email address of the service provider. The name of the organisation with which the customer is contracting must be given. This might differ from the trading name. Any such difference should be explained â e.g. "XYZ.com is the trading name of XYZ Enterprises Limited."
It is not sufficient to include a 'contact us' form without also providing an email address and geographic address somewhere easily accessible on the site. A PO Box is unlikely to suffice as a geographic address; but a registered office address would. If the business is a company, the registered office address must be included.
A telephone number is also a comfort to people... though not required, it shows you are open to people contacting you (though that does not mean the person who will remain nameless that phoned me on my mobile in Jordan to order finds bags !! )
Also, if you are charging VAT, again, by law, you must state on your website the VAT Reg number
