Constantly. I was told almost daily that I would have future work with them if I moved nearer to the site manager and that I should stay with him in his flat until I found a place of my own. I was also told when I informed him that I wouldn't be moving and certainly not staying with him on the off chance that there might be work, that I was noncommittal and didn't take the work seriously. He would also play the staff against each other with malicious rumours so that they felt isolated and as though they had to fight for limited positions of work. As you understand, the environment became absolutely awful to work within. The senior staff knew about these issues as did many of the other archaeologists but, like myself, the graduates were in positions where we needed to protect our jobs.
