Sorry, I read that as a wish to return to pre-Thatcherite days in archaeology - while she was in power things continuously got better for diggers, and continued to do so for a long time after - strangely the economy etc also seemed to go out of control after she was out of office - Thatcherism worked fine under Thatcher, if it's gone t**s since that can hardly be laid at her door, more her successors.
And I reiterate that diggers are still far better off than they were pre-Maggie
