I notice your use of the word companies Duntrowlin which you can take to indicated working on salary but which I take to mean that you sign your copyright to the company and that the company exists to disseminate that copyright in what ever "publication" format which appears to satisfy the contract that was contrived to satisfy a wsi which was contrived to satisfy a brief that was written for an imaginary tender system that has been imagined by a condition attached to a planning Decision or variations there of . And the finds and samples have a life of their own in this system which in not how it is done in Scotland.
When the process is taken through by an individual archaeologist the first thing to note is that everything other than the primary archive is bunkum. This primary archive comprises of ownership and copyright. I cant say I know what problem that prentise is suggesting about the hours bit but I can be quite specific about the field work, finds processing and report writing hours that I charge the client for. That people calling themselves archaeologists working in Companies do extra unpaid hours presumably is a method of undercutting my price. Good Luck to them.

Quote:Local planning authorities should make information about the significance of the historic environment gathered as part of plan-making or development management publicly accessible. If there is any paperwork it should be in the form of a bound copy which I take as good enough to discharge the condition. Obviously I suggest single because I don't take it as my problem. I don't take it as my problem because round my way they have taken to charging the discharge fee before they will even look at agreeing the wsi. Happy days
