If you survive the five years into supervisor-project officer-manager you will have very little experience of picking up clients and dealing with writing wsi for them let alone taking out any professional indemnity insurance. Commercial archaeology is littered with such people, in fact I would say that there are still a disproportionate number without a driving licence living off a fantasy that being a passenger and organising car sharing is as good as being in a union. Let me guess Liberal democrat, communist or something in between? What you want to ask is why any capitalist pig would want to have such none self reliants on the pay roll ?
