It can easily slip under the radar, but if they catch -up on you there is always a sting in the tail. A few years back some of us got late tax bills for accommodation that we thought was part of the job but HRMC decided was a benefit that should have been taxed....we did have a long discussion on this forum at the time ....(6th July 2008 in BAJR archives if anyone wants to check what was discussed at the time)...
